From the baker's kitchen
I was born in the Philippines and spent my teenage years in Tennessee. Growing up in the Philippines, I had dabbled in the world of performing arts ranging from musical plays and dancing to operatic singing. At age 11, my family and I immigrated to Tennessee where, years later,
I earned my Degree at Cumberland University.

Moving from one culture to another was both exciting and sad. Curiously, what gave me comfort was baking little "Pinoy" treats, as that gave me a feeling of home. My interest in baking started early. At age 8, I baked my first loaf. From then on, my growing fascination and absorption into the world of baking accelerated as I got exposed to varying kinds of desserts in many parts of the world.
Before long, I developed a keen interest in mixing flavors, which drew oohs and ahhs
from my friends, parents, and loved ones.

My penchant for baking took on a formal and firmer character as I learned from experienced teachers and imaginative classmates at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, where I earned my Diploma in Baking and Pastries. My consuming goal is to fuse French and Filipino baking techniques to create a distinctive menu of unique and exotic desserts that will help make life a little more enjoyable to various peoples.
